Castle

At the highest point of Chora, are the ruins of the Venetian Castle where Christian churches stand around sleepless guards.

Square Ag. Athanasios and City Hall

A surprisingly graphic beautiful square by neoclassical City Hall, built in 1907, dominates, creating a great alignment with the surrounding scenery and the neighboring metropolis St. Athanasiou.

Mines

In the picturesque village of M.Livadiou, created in 1880 mainly to meet the needs of people working in the mines, dominated by majestic buildings that housed the headquarters and the hospital. In front of the headquarters rises monument in honor of the dead of the bloody strike of miners in 1916. You can walk to the old premises of the mines and see the iron loading bridge. Still, in the Almyros bay, a short distance from the sea you can see the domed rooms with the hot springs of the area where even the stone bathtubs are saved.

Monastery Taxiarxon

Founded in 1600, followed fortress architecture.

Hosts findings from the classical, Hellenistic and Roman period.

White tower

On the road between Chora and M.Livadi you will see the White Tower, which dates back to the Hellenistic period.

Stone lighthouse, built in 1901 at a height of 65 meters from the sea.

The Throne of the Cyclops, Psaropyrgos

A rectangular stone structure 9 meters in length and 7 meters in width which stands proudly for centuries stationary guard Bay Mega Livadi.
